| I Need Your Prayers (Again) |
|
Edited on Wed Aug-24-05 11:00 PM by Dinger
Or should I say, my husband needs your prayers. He found out today that he has an enlarged heart. He is not overweight, and takes good care of himself. He is 6'2" and weighs about 190 pounds. He is taking medication for cholesterol, aspirin daily, and some kind of oil pills. He eats healthy too. He is 45 years old. His has recently been experiencing pain in his right shoulder. He is pretty sure that this started when he was doing exercises for his back, and felt something happen then. He tried physical therapy, and uses cold packs on it. Anyway, he has tried several things, and tomorrow is going in for bloodwork and getting an MRI. He has a cardiogram today. I am hoping and praying for the best. This December 20th, we'll be married 25 years, and I'd love to celebrate with good news on his health, and God-willing, you'll all be invited! (Northern Wisconsin isn't as bad as you might think).
I should also add that he is a very hard worker, a workaholic actually. He is getting better at taking it easy.

I will be more than happy to pray for both you and your husband! It sounds like he leads a very healthy lifestyle.
I will share what happened to me: 2 years ago, I went to the doctor for a flu-like infection, and he took chest x-rays to check every thing out. I got over the flu and moved on. A year later, I had another similar flu, and went back to the same doctor, and again he took chest x-rays. He made the comment to me, that my heart had actually gotten smaller over the past year! Now he hadn't mentioned anything worrisome about my heart the first time I saw him, so I was completely unaware of this development. However, when he made the comment when I saw him the 2nd time, he said he was very pleased to see this development. Now, I am about 95lbs overweight, don't exercise, don't really watch my weight, like I should (but I am trying to make some changes recently), so an enlarged heart wouldn't be so unusual for someone my size. My doctor was very pleased to see that my heart had gotten smaller over the year, and so was I. I didn't do anything to make my heart get smaller, but maybe the Lord was working 'behind the scenes'! I only share this to let you know that sometimes the enlargement can be reversed, as it was in my case.
I pray that the Lord would give you and your husband peace and healing, and send His angels to comfort you both... :pals:

We won't know much for a couple days yet, but this makes no sense to me.

I'm sure I'll spot you right away. :)
Hey, why don't you attach your DU bumpersticker to your cheese hat? You might make it on TV.

Boy, the Pack sure stunk up the place, didn't they? I NEVER thought Sure-Man was da man. Not a motivator, and to conservative in his play-calling, and he seems to be really into nepotism. Pack will go 8-8, no playoffs, but I love 'em, and it is always awesome to be in Lambeau Field for a game.:)
P.S. A good friend of ours, whose brother (also a dear friend) is a state senator, has 65 Packer season tickets, and I went on his bus. Perfect way to go! We tailgates, right across the street from the gate, played good tunes on the way there, had a few suds, a little rough weather, . . . perfect night for a Packer game!

No, I meant, I'll look for ya on the TV.
They may pull it together yet. I'm optimistic where the Pack is concerned. :)
Glad you had a great time! :hi:
