I can see God in others as well. That's the best way I can answer your question.

and while I believe in free will, I think God gives us a nudge in the right direction every once in a while.

i considered myself agnostic, because i am rather science oriented, and there is no emperical evidence of god. but then, when i just sat down and thought, "do I believe in God?", the answer was yes. So, in short- just 'cause :)

and nothing that is not absolute can fulfill that meaning. There is only one absolute. God.

stuff like love, personality, emotions, etc. I love people in my life, and there's no way I can see that explained by science. It's too deep.

| 10. Because I feel a guiding hand..a presence..and a higher authority |
|
in my life. Someone I need to report to as well as someone who will guide me along the path of life. God is the loving teacher in my life who knows what to do when I fail in his eyes and will help me do what I can to change my grade.

| 11. I find life a lot more interesting with Him in it! |
|
:D
Like a lot of others in this thread, I'm just very aware of a presence other than my own in my life. Whatever you choose to call Him, or Her, or what rituals you follow, it's all the same entity to me. I guess that makes me sound unitarian.
And because of what I know from this experience, it's hard for me now to accept some of the officiousness and ritual of church. Because my interactions with this Being are quite personal and individual and very down to earth, church seems very artificial to me.
Jesus didn't talk to hundreds of people from a pulpit, he sat in people's living rooms; he sat at their tables and ate with them. This says to me that God is a Being who maybe doesn't want to be worshiped in the classical sense (and I mean "classical" here literally with temples, and sacrifices and ritualized prayers) so much as interacted with. In part Jesus was about changing the dynamic of the way we interact with the Supernatural. Maybe God wanted to get out of the temple and into the melee of daily life with us.
Oh dear, this post went further afield than I intended. Thanks for reading...
