| Did your church commemorate MLK today? |

Our (methodist) church sang "Precious Lord, Take My Hand," which is the song Mahalia Jackson sung at his funeral. The sermon dealt with social justice issues as well. (I was surprised, considering this is a lily-white, suburban church)
What did your church do?

Our processional hymn was Life Every Voice and Sing, and our recessional was a song in honor of Dr. King. The priest who preached grew up in the South and told of his experiences in the Bad Old Days.
As a choir member, I'm sort of stuck at the 11AM service, which is the traditional "high" service. At the 9AM service, which is designed to be more experimental, they had a guest Gospel choir and an African-American preacher from the Methodist church down the street.
