Asking for prayers

As some of you might know, I am a Katrina survivor.

I am trying to obtain some assistance in rebuilding and one of the groups I have been talking to is running into a snag. The woman that has been helping me asked that I try to get a prayer circle going that things work out and the funding necessary can be obtained.

So, if you don't mind, I ask that you all help me in this regard. Please send out some prayers that this project can happen. I feel selfish asking for my individual needs, but the concept is, if we can get this project off the ground it will help FEMA recognize that there are alternatives to the trailer band aid they provide now.

Most folks don't know the full parable that ends with the words you have shared with me. I know that you live the scripture, as I knocked and you opened the door to me and gave me loaves of understanding, friendship and love. You have helped me on the spiritual journey of healing and I will be forever grateful.

I am originally from New Orleans (just moved in 2001 from there after living there over 30 years), so anything I can do to help my city and those affected by the horror of Katrina, would be my pleasure! :grouphug:
