I went out this evening before going to bed. I didn't intend it to be anything special, just have a smoke and finish off the day. I've always liked the quiet and calm of the night. It always felt like I could think and see more clearly while the world was at rest. For five decades, I have enjoyed the night sky and marveled at the wonders of the universe, but tonight I was awed by the beauty and spectacle of the world we live in.
I don't have any specific reason for this post beyond asking those who read it to find that quiet moment and appreciate the wonderful world we live in. I hope that we can do justice to this world we have been blessed with.

| 1. Ah, you've put into words something I've been struggling to say: |

"I've always liked the quiet and calm of the night. It always felt like I could think and see more clearly while the world was at rest."
This night-owl thanks you for saying it so very well!

If I were gay, I'd be right there with you as far as KO. Unfortunately, I'm old enough to be past that stuff. I've always been a night owl and an odd ball. I'm not sure if the two go together, but I'm proud to defend my view of the world. I hope we can bond our powers in the quiet hours of the night to make this world a better place for all.
