Bishop John Shelby Spong was interviewed on our local current affairs show, The State of Things on NPR today. I really enjoyed the progam and want to listen to it again when I have time since he verbalized so many things that have run through my mind in recent years. Bishop Spong was on the program because he is another local boy done good. :-) (Between you and me, I wish more people knew and loved him than Billy Graham, but that's just me.)

Jesus for the Nonreligious: Bishop John Shelby Spong is a controversial Episcopal priest who advocates for an open and engaged Christianity. He is the author of more than 20 books including, "The Sins of Scripture" and "A New Christianity for a New World." His latest book "Jesus for the Nonreligious" brings him to North Carolina and onto "The State of Things" to speak with host Frank Stasio.
