The BBC broadcasts choral evensong (a late afternoon service consisting of sung responses, a psalm, the Magnificat, two Scripture readings, the Nunc Dimittis, possibly a brief homily, an anthem, and a congregational hymn) from a different church or educational institution every Sunday.
Thanks to the time difference, it happens when most of us Progressive People of Faith are in church ourselves, but you can go to the Listen Again section
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/listen/index.shtmland follow the links to BBC3 iPlayer and the list of programs available for listening. This week was St. Paul's Cathedral. Tomorrow (February 3, 2008) is Chester Cathedral.
Enjoy!
(Frankly, I"m a bit nerdy about this because I'm in a choir that sings choral evensong once a month.) :-)
