Ted Turner teams up with Lutherans and Methodists

WOW! The Nothing but Nets program, already assisted by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is now going to get some help from Ted Turner! This is fabulous news.

2. The New England UM Conference

on February 20 had a Harlem Globetrotters benefit for NothingButNets. 1300 tickets were sold, allowing the purchase of 1000 nets.

Our Conference Lay Leader is from an African country...Nigeria, I think...and had a younger brother who died of Malaria when he was a small child. His revelation of that at Annual Conference last year was so touching and so inspiring.

caught my eye...and made me laugh.



That probably explains why I won't be retiring to a mansion on a golf course.

I never really knew much about mosquito nets until I traveled in parts of China where they are common.

They're a great appropriate technology: effective, inexpensive, uncomplicated, and environmentally friendly.
