| Well, that cuts it. I'm leaving. |

This church had one foot in the grave when I got here, and I can't revive it. And no one else cares. So, time to start working on my profile. I HATE doing a profile, and had hoped I could stay here longer. And I could. The church has an endowment that'll keep the doors open for years. But it serves no purpose and I can't live with that. So, I have to start scrounging up references (EIGHT references!!) and writing a statement of mission, and reading Opportunities, and contacting conferences, and...!!! :banghead:
There must be something else I could do for a living!
How was your Sunday?

The choir no longer has its weekly rehearsals but sings "reruns" during the summer.
I went to brunch with some friends, went to see my stepfather and mother for Father's Day, and then attended our choir's summer party.
We had a beautiful day, congenial company, and wicked margaritas to drink, although no one seemed to over-indulge.
Eight references is a lot...Good luck. I don't envy you. Job hunting is one of my least-favorite activities, which is one reason why I'm self-employed.

I'm sorry to hear that.
My cousin asked to come to church with me this weekend. She said she liked it and may join me again. It's a coffeehouse UMC church, very laid back :-)

What a drag!
You worked so hard to revive your church.
You will find something that's better for you.
Good thoughts and prayers are coming your way.
Oh yeah, my Father's Day was good. Spent the day with my family, including my 88 yr. old mom and my older brother.
