| Great line from this morning's sermon |

Our guest preacher was talking about two brothers in the South, both of whom had had conversion experiences.
One brother became a civil rights leader, and the other an attorney.
At one point, the civil rights leader asked the attorney to represent someone who was involved in a particularly important civil rights suit.
The attorney said that he wouldn't, because it would be detrimental to his political ambitions.
"I thought you a follower of Christ," said the civil rights leader.
"I am, but not to the cross," said the attorney.
"You're not a follower of Christ," the civil rights leader said. "You're just a fan."

My priest recent sermonized on how the kingdom of God was like dog poop. Something about how you never see it until it gets on your shoe but that it makes great fertilizer that makes things grow.
I didn't have the heart to tell him that gardening manure usually comes from herbivores. We're all still chuckling about dog poop.
