| Yes, I do seriously believe in fairies. |
|
Please remember that Disney did not invent fairies, they just commercialized them, like they did with angels. Yes, I have felt the presence of fairies in the woods. The slyphs dwell within the trees.
Anyone else believe? Or am I making a fool of myself again? Oh, well if I won't stand up for your beliefs, life ain't worth living. Thank God for fairies.

We just all need to stop and clap really loud.
The idea of fairies has been around for so long that it must have come from somewhere. People have believed for thousands of years.

very subject earlier this week. I personally believe in fairies and similar folk, but I've never experienced them. I'm currently reading Ted Andrews' 'Enchantment of the Faerie Realm'. Maybe someday I'll learn the secret to communicating with them.

On Monhegan Island in Maine, people make faerie houses in the woods. I found an amythest stone and a pentangle compass in one that I believe were gifts of the faeries.

| 5. after a "re-awakening" I have been aware of small spiritual forms |
|
in my garden and in the branches of the trees in my backyard. there is a real presence to them, and the feeling is light and airy. they differ from the actual plants...so i believe in fairies. and i know i'm not crazy. it's emergent spirituality...connecting to the spiritual nature of the universe and becoming more aware of that connection.

| 6. I believe that if WE believe |
|
only what we see with our eyes and hear with our ears and feel with our hands...
we are missing most of life.
I sincerely pity folks who can't break out of their senses. It is so limiting.

| 10. Well, I WISH I believed in fairies. Does that count? |

I'm just not wired that way. I wish I believed in God or fairies or any of that stuff, and on occasion I even do.
There is something magical about what we call "nature," though. The only places I've ever felt really at peace were places relatively untouched by the hand of Man: drop me in a swamp, a forest, a desert, or a mountainside, and my spirit is whole. Maybe that's what "magic" is? A satisfied spirit? I asssume that the fairies prefer the wilderness, and the wilderness is a great place to talk to God. Even if God doesn't exist.

Years ago, my daughter was setting off some fireworks on New Years Eve. One shot from a Roman candle hit a big fir tree at te edge of our yard.
We saw something blue-ish glowing, the shape of a person, but less the a foot tall, fly out of the tree and around the tree about 20 feet off the ground. I told her to put out some sweet treats for an apology.
