has taken back to the 12 steps.
I am currently in a recovery program in Lexington KY, and I am trying to get in touch with the UU church here among other things. Spirituality is a big part of our day - twice daily group meditaion, two or more AA meetings with prayers at beginning and end, and just a feeling of being surrounded by my Higher Power.

Yes, I probably need to quit the drinking too, I rarely get drunk but have a habit of drinking.
I'm girding up the courage right now to put down my 12 year old dog pharaoh which will leave me living alone cept for my cat babette. How is the struggle going? I went to AA years ago, but live way out in the country so it is not practical, it is good to have support though. I quit cigarettes almost 2 years ago and have barely felt free of their pull some days.
Keep up the good fight!

in Lexinton KY, so meetings aren't a problem. I'd been sober for over 90 days when I entered and had attended at least 2 meetings a day during that time. This isn't my first stint in AA either, so I actually feel like I have come home. :)
Good luck, AA is all about the newcomers, so you'll have lots of help if you need it. :)
