| Any Jiddu Krishnamurti fans here? |
|
I remember reading "Think on These Things" and "The Only Revolution" in college and they had a big impact. I am thinking I should start reading some of his stuff again. Any other DU fans out there?

You might check out an excellent biography called: Krishnamurti, by Pupul Jayakar. It's really a biography/forum of Krishnamurti's views. Harper & Row. Superb.
Also, 3 books called Commentaries on Living are early Krishnamurti and are collections of lovely and fairly brief dialogs with whomever (usually followed by some spinoff afterthoughts into the ozone). He also has 2 books in which he dialogues with David Bohm, the English quantum physisist, who deeply respected Krishnamurti.
A famous remark of Krishnamurti (made early in his life) is that "truth is a pathless land" -- meaning we're all 100% on our own. No gurus, no churches, no "paths". This is the first step.
