| Would you say that the way spiritual people think is different |
|
from the way atheists think? I've been listening to a lot of Eckhardt Tolle and also have just re-watched the Mayan lectures of Ian Lungold. They (and many more) have talked about an evolution of consciousness-where we are no longer using our ego-driven mind, but working more from our intuition and higher self.
I've found that when I talk to atheists on DU there always seems to be a disconnect, and it usually happens because of their pride in what they call "rational thought"-I call it thinking only with the head. I've gotten to the point in my life where I find I'm thinking more and more from an intuitive level-I call it thinking with the heart-and you know, it's something that cannot be talked about, only experienced. I've found trying to converse with the "head thinkers" more and more difficult. Anyone else have this problem? Do you think our way of thinking is evolving and changing?

| 2. Why do you assume that atheism and spirituality are mutually exclusive? |

There is such a thing as secular/non-religious spirituality. :-)
