need a walk thru... cant get the software to load properly either

1. Sorry. No experience with Proteus
but at least you know someone is here.

I had problems with my Photosonix Galaxy machine, that turned out to be because my background process for hot-sync'ing my Palm Pilot was sitting on the same COM port. It seems highly unlikely that your problem is the same though.
