Experiences with deeksha?

I've received deeksha a dozen times or so over the past year from my main teacher. I've found it gives me a deep sense of opening immediately after receiving it, followed by profound and longlasting support as my awareness shifts toward oneness. Of course my monkeymind says it's all just an expectation effect :-) Has anyone else received deeksha? What were your experiences?

yes I do. Sorry this reply is so late, I haven't been in this group for a loooong time.

I started getting them about 1 1/2 years ago at my church, Religious Science church. The first few times were amazing....I felt so calm, peaceful, sleepy even. And everyone there felt so at one with each other, when we'd all open our eyes we would start tearing up. I think over time it has done so much for me. I feel a stronger connection to nature, animals, even yucky insects. I feel much more compassionate towards people I usually may not. I don't worry half as much as I used to. It also got me very interested in Hinduism.

I became a Blessing Giver this past January and now it's just as good to give them as to receive them. I hope you are still getting them :)

3. Is this related to Sri Bhagavan?

I don't understand the process...I have received Diksa (Deeksa) Initiation from a Spiritual Master in the Gaudiya Vaisnava tradition, but it is intended to be a one time experience, with eternal effects.

Can you elaborate for me what Deeksa meens for you? I'm very curious...

4. Yes, it's the energy transmission process taught/facilitated by Sri Bhagavan.

I greatly enjoy and benefit from the process. I've experienced it maybe a couple of dozen times now, and it was associated with one of my most important personal breakthroughs.

However, for all that I have a hard time convincing myself there's anything going on there except my powerfully energetic imagination. Which is fine by me - I love my imagination too.
