| Queerness is a gift from God! |
|
Just posting because I'm angry with something I heard on the Mike Malloy Show tonight. Malloy said that the leaders of the Jews, Muslims, and Orthodox Christians met in Jerusalem today and agreed to discrimanate against the queers. This is the reason why so many leave "organized" religion because the leadership gangs up on the gays when they have much more important issues to work on and pray about like Peace and ending World Hunger.
Also they turn a blessing into a curse. I wish they knew some of the queer people and the families they support. Queerness for being an "abomination" sure creates a lot of love.

that's like the right hand deciding there is something very wrong and unnatural with the big toe.
We are all One, and as such, we must accept one another.

Well, DUH! :silly:
I certainly hear ya! It's so easy to get angry when you see the discrimination. I'm working more and more with the idea of "spiritual violence." That's what's happening with this: it's spiritual violence against other of God's children. It's religion at its worse, as tool of suppression.
I bet they all know queer people, too, but they really think the queers they know are the exception to the rule. Or maybe that's just what my Republican family thinks. :eyes:

lesbian daughters! They are flesh and blood, but the repukes still go after the queers...aaaaaarrrrgh!
You are right about the spiritual violence it causes. Like the those awful Ex-Gay groups. Yuck!
Homophobia is a sin, damn it! Any institutional hatred is! Anytime some group of people is treated as second class citizens and hurt so much it is a sin and a crime!
Sorry about your family! Remember God loves you for you and every part of you!
My parents are pro-gay and very accepting, thank God! Pray that all parents may be so enlightened!
