| Found a screech owl and 3 baby owls |
|
sitting in our old apple tree at 10am in the morning.
The babies are ~ 5 inches tall and look like bobble-head dolls with those big fuzzy heads!
They seem to like the thick cover provided by this old tree. No other birds can see them there, and they don't get 'mobbed'.
My son saw another screech owl last week in a tree ~ 20 yards away. Again it was @10am.
Too bad my digital camera is in the shop!!

Lucky you :-).
I saw a blue grosbeak with two young ones the other day. First time I have ever seen young grosbeaks.

I've been out to look for my little ones for the past two days, but no luck.
Gotta get that camera back from the shop!
