I haven't been around DU due to Primary Insanity, so I haven't kept you all up to date.
Yesterday I ran the Rock and Roll Marathon. I had a knee injury, so had to take it real slow, but I finished with a time of 5:47.
I also won a t-shirt from the Marines at the pre-race expo for holding myself up over a chinning bar with an underhand grip for 70 seconds! I was amazed. I had NO idea I could do that!
Thank you for all your support! When my knee stops acting so cranky, I may do another one!

5 hours and 47 minutes of jogging, that sounds pretty brutal.
I'd imagine that certainly did a number on your knees, just imagining all that pavement is making mine hurt, that's why I do everything cross country when I can.

Congrats on accomplishing a fantastic goal! The chinning bar feat was pretty cool too!

I am not sure my body could that but perhaps with training. I am just not sure. Hey and your time is awesome! If that is real slow, I certainly do not want to hang with you when you run fast. :)
