"Oh the green and red of Mayo"!!!!
All-Ireland Senior Football Final on September 17th, Kerry v. Mayo...

Absolutely thrilled for the men from the West beating the "Dubs" today in Croke Park.

Here's hoping youse can beat the "Kingdom" in three weeks time. 55 years is far too long a time since you last hoisted Sam and IMHO there's no county in Ireland that deserves that honor more than Mayo.

GREAT STUFF ALTOGETHER!!!!

I know one thing for certain, if Mayo pulls it off, the construction business in Chicago will come to a grinding halt on September 18th. All the Mayo ones will be too busy celebrating a very well deserved victory.

UP MAYO :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

1. Broke my heart
and the hearts of all around me. The Dubs are my local team - Parnell Park is 5 minutes away from where I live ( Croke Park about twenty minutes ).

Great game of football 'though. The sort of game that brings new people to the game.

2. Just finished watching the replay here in Chicago on the
Setanta Channel.

Great game of football, one of the all-time classics.

I still don't understand why Whelan didn't get the line for that cheap shot on Ronan McGarrity. That was totally uncalled for.

Anyway, I'm getting out the novena book and the rosary beads for Mayo to beat Kerry on the 17th of September.

I do sympathize with you RT, been there, done that with the Red and Black of Down over the years.

However, I do believe that 31 of the 32 counties in Ireland will be rooting for Mayo on the 17th.

Dublin will be back next year no doubt. One other thing, why in God's name did Caffrey take off Shane Ryan? He was a having a stormer.
