The Quest by Tom Brown
:hi:

I'm new to this forum (glad to see it). I've been on the Red Road a long time now.

I read the book "The Quest" by Tom Brown about 10+ years ago and he writes about his teachings from "Grandfather" and the visions that "Grandfather" had c. 1920.

Has anyone else read this book?

"Grandfather" predicted the end of times beginning with a disease that comes from the apes. Towards the end of his story he says the final stages of life as we know it today on this earth will be when the "starts begin to bleed". I've never been able to figure out what this might be.

Any insights my friends?

Oye Mitakuye Oyasin!

1. Bleeding Stars .....
...in several other Native Prophecies also referred to as the 'Night of the Red Sky' points toward something nuclear, IMO.

"The color was that of man, not of Nature, and it had a vile stench and texture. It seemed to burn the Earth wherever it touched"

This seems to point to the ultimate destruction of man by man - the logical conclusion to man's thoughtlessness, selfishness, destructiveness, greed and conquering mentality.

Cause and effect.

2. have you read this book btw?
Grandfather's vision was also about how the places that will be the worst when the "time comes" so to speak will be in the cities. I don't live anywhere near a big city - I live in a very remote area.

I agree with you 100% ... that is a brief yet excellent synopsis of the the book "The Quest" is all about.

3. is this not what we are now witnessing I ask of you and others here?
I think this is IT. That storm as it approached was RED and the picture was RED like blood as if it was bleeding - the sky was bleeding I thought.

Now we see the diseases appearing and the accounts of people having their skin being burned off by the chemicals in the toxic waters.

OMG this might just be it I fear. Anyone else out there ... anyone! Does anyone agree with me?

4. It is possible....
...and no I haven't read the book yet....I just read some excerpts from it. I don't know if this storm is 'it' - but I say we are well on our way to 'it' - because Mother Earth will not go down without a fight. And we will be on the loosing end. But try and get people to see it.....

6. I just got another copy of The Quest
I read the Vision part last night. Grandfather = Stalking Wolf (Apache).

The vision ... I can't shake it from my mind. It speaks of the horrible storms, huge floods with garbage and oil and the dead bodies.

As far as Tom Brown himself goes, he is running a survivalist school somewhere.

The Vision was in c. 1920 as I'd thought.

Still worth reading anyway, whether Tom Brown is for real or not I do not know.

5. Tom Brown

is a charlatan. "Grandfather" (the one who alledgedly taught him his woodcraft) was supposed to be apache, teaching traditional ways in............the woods of New Jersey!

Tom Brown teaches survivalist course that he claims are indigenous american techniques, when in fact he is a former SpecOps soldier, teaching skills used by some of our armed forces. He is just trying to cash in on indians.

I wasn't aware of the rest of which you write about teaching armed forces skills and that he was a SpecOps soldier.

I find the Vision of Stalking Wolf to be very interesting no matter what the case may be. This book is now "rare" and very difficult to find.

If you read the Vision in the book, you'll see why ... too much of a coincidence IMO to be shaken off.

As to the reality of Tom Brown, I cannot really say I know enough about him to judge him. I do know of a couple of young men I met about 10+ years ago that were planning to go to his survivalist school.

I hope the Vision is wrong, that is all I can say to you.

8. The skills taught
Are genuine. He simply lied about the source. As to the "vision", it is something he likely gleaned from various native prophecies, including my own tribe. I do, as a matter of fact, believe what those prophecies say.
