| Sioux Indian writer and activist Vine Deloria Jr. died yesterday |
|
He was a very interesting man, a great writer. Possibly the most influential Indian writer and scholar that there was, one of the most influential Americans of the last century or so too. Just a unique and great thinker. RIP http://www.newsday.com/news/nationworld/nation/wire/sns-ap-obit-deloria,0,7365838.story?coll=sns-ap-nation-headlineshttp://www.indigenouspeople.net/vine.htm

I couldn't find the forum! I didn't pay attention when DU was re-organized. Anyway, my husband absolutely loved Vine Deloria. I agree, he was one of the most influential Americans. Rest in peace.
