I watched part of the baseball game (Mariners/A's) after the debate. I couldn't STAND the assholes on MSNBC (except Eugene Robinson), but have now turned over to watch Keith.

MSNBC was useless, except for pointing out how grumpy and dissmissive McCain was.

The party was fun. It was at a little cafe in Royal Oak. We all can't wait until the VP debate -- just for the entertainment value. Someone said we'll need lots of popcorn for that one.

I found out the cafe has wireless, so next week I'll bring my laptop with me.

I finally figured out why my wireless connection wouldn't work on my laptop in your hotel room. I didn't have the wireless switch flipped on.

I didn't even know where it was, because it was new and I'd never tried to connect wirelessly before so I'd never had occasion to use it. This past week I did, and it worked OK, but I still had trouble doing other stuff.

Today's supposed to be my day off. Well, it just sucked.

I'm crabby, emotional, pre-menopausal, and I miss my mom something fierce.

68. Hi all. I had to watch the debate across the street at the neighbors house

and they watched PBS afterwards. I sat through David Brooks and Margaret Carlson for about five minutes and went screaming (not really) back across the street for my post debate Keith and Rachel fix.

Wish I'd been here for the blow by blow. My neighbors are liberals too but earnest ones. I wanted to scream at McCain but I had to be neighborly and not appear unhinged. It was torture.

Obama definitely won but knowing how much McCain was lying it was soooooo hard to see Obama acting like a gentleman. I wish he'd been able to get in two points against McCain, his 20% approval rating from vets on his voting record, abysmal for someone who pretends he's the veterans best friend and champion, and McCain's actual vote in theMilitary Commissions Act and his stance protecting the torturers. It's like McCain has immunity on that subject with the general public.

I admired Obama's restraint. Knowing his style, he kept it honest and real, modeling how HE would govern. He'll let the others, like the VoteVets group, do the dirty work. :)
