We keep talking about it...but then it stays talk.

Are we serious, folks? Are we seriously considering giving Detroit some much-needed tourism? I'm all for it. That would be really easy for me to do.

If it's a possibility, let's discuss...tawk amongst yerselves. When would be a good time? Exactly where? Etc.

1. How about Washington (MO)?

Lots of beer, wine and Cardinal baseball. Free wine tasting anyone? Pork steaks, fried ravioli, or real Italian ravioli on the Hill in St. Louis (only 45 miles as the crow flies)? Affordable hotel room rates plus lots of church dinners. Pio's Restaurant in St. Charles or a picnic on the Washington (MO) riverfront. If no more coal trains derail we could even take Amtrak from Washington to Kansas City. :headbang:

2. The original weekend I was thinking about isn't going to work

I forgot I'll be in Pittsburgh for Netroots Nation that weekend. No Dream Cruise for me this year.

Washington, MO sounds lovely, but may not be centrally located enough for a lot of people. I could do KC, although it would take me either a flight or two Megabuses.

I don't think the Rev can do anything till August anyway, so there's no huge hurry, but I wanted to get people thinking.
