for two weeks because of all the rain (we've had almost 6 solid weeks of it, which is a lot even for the pacific northwest!). It has now morphed into a cold. I'm glad I can also work from home, because I really didn't feel like dragging my behind to the office today, AND I don't want to spread it around!

My main annoyance today: someone posted pictures of a young woman whose body is somewhat distorted because of a genetic condition, who recently did a "sexy photo shoot" (nothing crass or tasteless) that is being exhibited in Toronto as part of a campaign to promote a new image of people with what we think of as disabilities or unusually formed bodies.

Some people posted that these photos were great, if you have a fetish that attracts you to kinky stuff.

That really pissed me off. Why is this woman supposed to live the rest of her life being considered to be sexually attractive only to fetishistic people who like the idea of "sex with a freak"? Why doesn't she have the right to have sex with someone who loves her and for that reason thinks she's hot, like anyone else in this world, rather than just be the object of fetishist fantasies?
