It would actually be perfect to wear them together. The visor's missing link. What, btw, is a visor's unique purpose? Why don't I want to wear the rest of the baseball cap?

Just pray I don't get cancelled again. Part of the reason I'm taking the flight I'm taking rather than an earlier one is that it has a 70% on-time record and the one a couple of hours earlier only has a 40% on-time record. I didn't want to take a night-time flight, so now I'll have to take the day off.

|
They take one camera, zoom it in really close and for the most part keep it trained there nice and tight. They also don't have that little screen that swoops in and out of sight on this set like in Secaucus, so all the graphics have to be chyroned in.
They did this in LA, too, when he did those shows while in town for Leno. Same thing at 30 Rock. It's like whenever he's not actually at MSNBC, he gets stuck with a one-camera set and not a lot of special effects.

as opposed to them being on the screen they swoop in and out on the MSNBC set. Just like the numbers and headers at the bottom of the screen and the MSNBC bug. They're always that way.

I'll recap our collective observations from the last few nights:
He must have left his razor at home. Combine that with local news makeup and lighting, a sunburn, local news camera angles and a set which was the pride of 1986, and there you have it. :)
Much, much cooler. :loveya:

I was just saying she's attractive. You don't usually get the image of a sick person being attractive. Something like that always conjures up the image of some creepy looking predator. Just goes to show that stereotypes are pretty meaningless.

Too much.
Question about these alien Keith sets: Why is it that when you turn on your local news, their camera angles aren't as limited as Keith's are when he has to use these sets? I mean, mine aren't. They actually have at least two cameras, and they pull back and stuff.
Not to mention which, the sets look like the Starship Enterprise and not something from 1986.

but we're a larger market than Tampa. Maybe there's no money in local television advertising in the Tampa area. Or it could be that bitter experience has taught Keith to keep it simple vis a vis the camera shots when he's on the road.

I was thinking about that earlier on this year, having to worry about sexual predators etc. I would think it might be hard to differentiate between a smooth talking guy they are attracted to and they could have something with, be it a one-night stand (we all have our moments) or something more, and say some guy who is charming, attractive, but might totally change when they get alone. I think that would be scary, being physically at the mercy of somebody like that. Then these online predators too, it's just a bad situation. Women have to be careful in a way that guys really don't have to.

By which I mean, a moment of consciousness being raised. You have realized something about women. Yes, it IS hard for us to tell the good guys from the bad sometimes...harder for some than for others. And some women do a lot of wishful thinking.
Yes, the world is quite unfair in that women have always had to be more careful than men. And if we should fail, and something bad happens, we're the ones who usually get the blame.

a few years ago. It opened my eyes to many things. Since then I have taken a lot of time to learn more about feminist issues. I'm constantly thinking about that stuff, correlating them to minority issues (I'm an American Indian) and so forth. Lots of interrelated human rights issues there. Women deal with stuff like an unrealistic and harsh ideal of beauty, oppression a a woman, minority woman and/or a woman or minority woman in the workforce. It's pretty ugly out there. Witness a guy like Rick Santorum, I mean seriously, where do these guys get off saying stuff like they do? It's ludicrous. Not to mention Dems are always all too willing to sell women's rights up the river for political gain, even though Dems are the ones who are supposed to be fighting for those rights. Lots of these guys coming up with "strategy" when Roberts and Scalito were both nominated just made me sick. Like the promotion of Bob Casey, an anti-choice candidate, running as a Dem against Santorum in PA. The Corporate Media and DNC practically handed this guy the primary over a year ago. Meanwhile, what good does a guy like that do for half of our country? Nothing, because he's anti-rights for that half of the country. Doesn't sound like a good choice to me. It sickens me. Truly does.

| 100. oh please, these baseball managers and officials have turned |

a blind eye to steroids until they were forced to do something about it. Even then Baseball has fought it.
This last 15 years or so has been the Juiced Player Era. Back in the old days they had the Dead Ball Era, then the Juiced Ball Era. The players have been so 'roided up for years it's pathetic that they even deny it. Partly the strong players union has kept the players safe from being tested for certain substances and so on. Playing dumb is not an option. These guys need to wake up and quit playing stupid on everything. It's all good when teams are winning and players are producing. But in the end, you have guys who cheated the game and who undermined the dignity and integrity of competition. That's a total shame.

| 121. I used to be a serious athlete |
|
and was always an avid weightlifter. I know when people are drugged up, because I have seen people on steroids. I myself tried furanone, which isn't a steroid but was a gray area product that essentially just hadn't made illegal yet, and I felt a certain difference when I was on that stuff that wasn't natural. Later on it got banned because it was giving people heart seizures. I never had anything like that from it, but I have noticed ever since I took it, which was for about a month and a half, I have felt a little funny doing cardiovascular exercise. My wind was killed by that stuff, probably because it effects the strength of your heart muscles which in turn effects how quickly a person gets fatigued. Point being, these guys abused drugs way worse than that, so in the end, Baseball needs to look at the people who start coming down with brain tumors and other afflictions. It's obvious that these guys have been doing 'roids, I could tell several players were before it ever came out that they were on that stuff. It's not worth it to destroy your body in that manner, not for winning or records or anything, athletics is stressful enough without putting that shit in your body.

wrestlers worked out. I know for a fact that he took a powder with a lot of things in it but the only thing I remember listed on the label is creatine. He died at the age of 40 of heart failure. He never did anything by halves, when he started bicycle riding he dropped his weight down below a healthy level, so who knows what else he did to bulk up in his weightlifting days.

creatine doesn't do that to you, unless you just gorged yourself on huge amounts that a human shouldn't take. Who knows what it could of been? This stuff I mentioned, furanone, did that to people. It gave former Phoenix Sun Basketball player, Tom Gugliotta a heart seizure, almost killed him. He was never the same after that. He took it in an over the counter product too, like mixed in a powder, before it got banned. I wouldn't be surprised if he dabbled around with that stuff. It was legal at one time, so very easy to get. I got it in a stronger form, really a gray area though, because technically it was legal, but we all knew that it wouldn't be for long. It was a lot like GHB, one of the Date Rape drugs. Works similarly.
I am mostly Blackfeet, that's where I'm enrolled. I'm also Nez Perce (Flathead) and Chippewa Cree. Oddly enough, I look whiter than sin. :)

In the distant branches of my family tree one of my ancestors was Cherokee but that's just of historical interest because it's too far back to matter.
