Berlin- German police posted a reward Wednesday for help in
arresting somebody who threw a smoke-bomb inside a Berlin Jewish
kindergarten and daubed anti-Semitic graffiti including a swastika on
its wall last month.
A window at the rear of the Gan-Israel Kindergarten was also
broken in the February 25 overnight attack in the capital city's
Charlottenburg district. The neo-Nazi graffiti said, "Get out!"
Police said they would pay 5,000 euros (6,500 dollars) for
information leading to the attackers. German Chancellor Angela Merkel
led public denunciation of the incident, which alarmed Germany's
Jewish community with its echoes of 1930s Nazi violence against Jews.
