It was pretty bad there for awhile. The hurricane actually detracted from the usual litney of Israel-bashing threads for almost 4 days! Did you miss the thread I posted about the Israeli divers coming to help? They had to delete an ENTIRE subthread!

I understand that people hate Israel. I may not agree with it, but it doesn't mean I support everything the Israeli government does anymore than I support my government (The US...so their is no confusion about my loyalty :)).

It reminds me of the South bashing threads, that now get locked pretty quickly because they are generalizations of an entire region.

I don't hit this board very often. I have no problem with criticism of Israeli policies...I have made them myself. But according to an alarming number of posters, Israel is nazi germany and that is so perposterous, I can't even fight with these people.What happened in Gaza may have been the right thing to do but it still broke my heart. I fear that hatred for Bush is translated into hating anything he supports and that includes Israel. I've been around a long time and I've never seen such venom from liberals.
