| I'm looking for some advice, I've long known that... |
|
...I have Jewish roots in several large and VERY prominent Jewish families (Rothschild, Guggenheim, Strauss), but our branch of the Rothschild family has long since withered. My Great-Grand Father, being the "black sheep" of the family, or a "Playboy" as my mother describes him, doesn't help either.
Plus when my Great-Grand Father and his wife, my father (and his parents) all fled Europe (and the Nazi Army) in 1939, they moved back to America and changed their names and religion to Episcopalian.
I'd love to get back in touch with the Rothschild's, but I don't know how to go about it.
Any advice?
BTW, I'm currently a very happy Buddhist, but was raised as a Roman Catholic.

| 1. You may want to look here |

http://shamash.org/trb/judaism.htmlYou should also realize that "wanting" to be associated with prominent families - Jews or not - will always be met with a bit of suspicion. Nothing personal, of course.

| 2. Get back in touch with the Rothschilds? Oy... |
|
It's not like you're going to be able to just stroll up to Eric de Rothschild's home at 8 place Vendome in Paris and say "Hi, it's me...Up2Late, your long lost cuz." I suggest you simply remain content that you are related to such international luminaries.
