Fascists had landlord who was Jewish

The MI5 files show that in 1940, when the British Union of Fascists was being wound up by the authorities, its landlord was Jewish.

An accountant studying ledgers of the fiercely anti-semitic BUF on behalf of the security services reported: "In several instances an amount of £322 was transferred, probably to the great distress of such a race-conscious organisation, to one HJ Abrahams.

After the organisation was disbanded, it emerged that several key members, including John Beckett, the former Labour MP who was the BUF director of publications, were Jewish.
