| Diabetes sufferers: Did you notice |
|
before you were diagnosed that if you at High GI carbs like bread or rice or pasta... that you would wake up the next day feelling .... hung over?
I'm not quite sure what's going on. Right now, when I eat these foods I feel very much like I have drunk too much the next day: Groggy, fuzzy headed. I even oversleep.
This doesn't seem to happen when I stick to proteins, and fruits and veggies.
Anybody else experience this sensation?

| 1. I used to feel very ill when I ate a lot of carbs |
|
But I didn't know why. My cholesterol was high because I have hypothyroidism and I was eating low fat, high carb foods. And I always felt groggy and sick to my stomach, along with terribly fatigued.
However, I really don't know how much of it was from untreated hypothyroidism and how much from Diabetes. I do know now that I feel the same way when my blood sugar is above 180, so I was probably having lots of spikes like that. However, I no longer feel tired for days afterwards (got the hypothyroidism treated)
