Any ideas?
My mother suffered such, couple months after entering independent living facility with my father. Unfortunately he didn't inform me of such, so when I arrived here few weeks ago I begin 'search' for what to do.
Saw internist Thursday, and mom will have 'several' tests/mri this week.
She's got dementia, and her physical therapist says her physical symptoms not related to it. PT thought legs/muscles improving initially, but then continued to degrade. She's lost ability to use arms, hands and fingers, too.
We've got to figure out prognosis, and then decide where they'll be best off. If anyone has any ideas about cause of this thing, please let me know!!!
Thanks.

A mass was found in her cervical spine; not operable, and we decided to not go through radiation therapy which would have required substantial anesthesia and the situation is aggravated by dementia.
She's comfortable, in a nursing home now.
