1. I ride a mountain bike most of the time

But I actually split my riding pretty evenly between paved and dirt roads, and only rarely ride trails.

My road bike is ancient (1985 vintage) and my partner doesn't have one. Otherwise, I would ride it more often.

Early 70's vintage Fuji S-10-S, and a '77 Raleigh Super Grand Prix...
The rest are from the 80's.

2. I DO have a MTB...

But it wears slicks. The rest of the stable is all road bikes, and a "Frankenbike" recumbent project that I either need to get going again or strip the usables from and junk.

The newest bike in the bunch is a 1987 Bridgestone "200" that I have done up in the style of a French Randonee bike, with fat (35mm) 700C tyres and fenders. It rides like a dream on gravel roads!

4. I voted mountain bike......

But it's really more of a hybrid. I bought two of these bikes at a garage sale several years ago, and they have given my wife and I a lot of good service. They were in great shape when I bought them ($30.00 a piece) and they have held up well. I did a web search on the brand (Ross, Mt. St. Helens models) and it turns out they were $300.00 bikes at retail.

We do a lot of road riding, but we also do some trail. These are good bikes for our backwoods roads, which are very hilly.

I have a Moser Pro Evolution for racing and showing off, and a Ross Frame that was turned into a fixed gear for commuting.

Though with the crappy roads around where I live, a cyclocross might be more appropriate.

7. i'm a roadie all the way

i ride a 1994 Specialized Allez Sport ... i also have an old Jeunet road bike that i bought way back in the early 1970's but haven't ridden for many years ...

i used to ride with a cycling group in the Boston area called the Charles River Wheelmen ... they've mapped out some of the best routes all over Eastern Massachusetts ...

i love the bike but mine has a steel frame ... it does have the Shimano 105 group though ...

are you confusing my model, the "Allez Sport", with the Specialized Allez?

14. my bianchi

I had a bianchi in high school that got ripped off from my friends porch. Saw it happen from a second floor window but couldn't get downstairs before it was gone. My friends chrome paramount went with it. last summer this bike came into the store where my son was wrenching and I had to get it.

Last week I picked up a 120 anniversary version of the Bianchi Milano for my wife.

16. I have a recumbent but since it wont fit on the bike

rack on the bus, I primarily use my upright. If I could get my recumbent on the bus I'd definitely use it more because it's more comfortable.

19. a 2000 trek 6700 MTB set up for touring and commuting

I'd rather ride than just about anything else in life. I'm looking for a nice road frame to build up this summer, but I haven't decided whether to go with a sturdy CM frame in touring geometry or a light ass go-fast bike.
