I so hope that someday the African-American community in Kansas City will finally restore the ruins. It is sort of hanging in limbo right now, but I think someday it may happen.

Such as the Hubbard House which went by the codename "Mother Hubbard's Cupboard" as a safehouse on the Underground Railroad. Ashtabula boasts that a dozen or so of their men went to Kansas with John Brown to mix it up during the fights that led to the Civil War. There was some blood.
