Very pleased to see this
I always feel like a freak with my passion for weather.

So, how many of you are into forcasting?

1. I've not gotten into it so much
Other than feeling the weather before it hits.

You mean with watching jet streams and highs and lows and stuff?

3. I have a very high tech weather center at my house...
Edited on Wed May-11-05 01:38 PM by Willy Lee
A very cool 2' anemometer that shows speed and direction (OK, it is an old windmill) as well as 2 models of barometers (my trusty weather stick and a "Herr and Frau Cottage", with the Herr coming outside if it will storm and the Frau coming out for Fair Weather) and of course a rain gauge. Oh, and the indoor-outdoor-high-low thermometer. Yesiree, high tech indeed!

Keeps me entertained at least!

(my barometer is kinda like this, without the thermometer)

4. I love weather forecasting
I took a course in weather a decade ago when I was into sailing. The whole subject is amazing. The concepts of convection and heat being released by condensation just blew me away. I can call the weather pretty well, now.
