| Straight from the horse's mouth in South Texas |
|
Here's a report from a woman who caucuseed in South Texas. Exactly what I've been saying about Rethugs corssig over to determine our candidate .
I just got back from my precinct convention in South Texas where Hillary's caucus goers outnumbered Obama's about 2 to 1. I also worked my precinct all day long. I'd say that Republican voters were outnumbered by Democratic voters there by about 2 to 1. I live in a normally very Republican precinct where I know voters. Many Republicans crossed over to vote in the Democratic primary, which is perfectly legal, but I have never seen the crossover vote this high. I heard several normally Republican voters indicate their candidate was already determined and they wanted to "skew" the Democratic results. So I'd say it's tough to know how the Texas vote will wind up. But I feel sure that many who voted for a Democrat in this primary will not be voting for any Democrat in the general election. No wonder the pollsters are all over the place!
