This sucks. I'm having surgery on Mississippi Tuesday. I won't be able to go to the polls. The first time in 24 years of voting that I have not voted on election day. Hoping to vote early (absentee) tomorrow.

My surgery was scheduled last week, and it never dawned on me that surgery day and election day were the same day. My son brought this to my attention yesterday! I almost cried.

So, I won't be here as the results come in on Tuesday night. I'll be in a hospital room. Dammit.

Y'all take up my slack and celebrate big if Hillary wins.

I hope it isn't anything too serious. Taking a break from DU after surgery is probably a good idea. All that hate and venom out there can't be conducive to a speedy recovery.

Oh, and they are planning late-night Hannah makeovers-glitter, heavy eyeliner and wigs included. Once they are done with their makeovers we will have Hannah/Miley karaoke.

By that time I plan on passing out with a bottle of Wild Turkey in my hand.

You get well soon and don't be shy about asking for the drugs. Be proactive in your care. You lean on that call button as hard and as often as you feel like it if you need something, that is precisely what it is there for.

This is important. --->

Watch and make absolutely certain that EVERY person that enters your room washes their hands before they touch you or anything that you will touch.

MRSA is a BITCH and it can kill the young and healthy.

INSIST that they all wash their hands from the housekeeper on up to the doctor. DO NOT be shy about insisting that a physician wash her or his hands.

I meet with my doctor on Monday before the Tuesday surgery. Should I ask her if the hospital's had any msra in it?
