The video shows Fort Hays State University debate coach William Shanahan in a profane, in-your-face argument with his counterpart from Pitt, Shanara Reid-Brinkley. The exchange took place in March at a competitive debate at Emory University in Atlanta.
The video shows Mr. Shanahan bending over and pulling down his shorts, exposing his underwear. The tape was posted on YouTube Aug. 2 and had over 88,000 views by today.
Fort Hays academic officer Larry Gould said Ms. Reid-Brinkley accused the Fort Hays team of dropping her as a judge because she is black. Mr. Gould said the school is also investigating the "racial element" to the episode.
The Kansas City Star reported that officials at the University of Pittsburgh also are looking into the incident and Ms. Reid-Brinkley's involvement. The Star said both professors screamed curses at each other before the mooning.

Is there anyone, besides me, who wonders if this Kansas professor (:eyes:) would have mooned the other professor if she had been a man? I realize that men have mooned other men in the past, but this seems like such an extreme reaction, especially in what is supposed to be an academic setting. I can't help but wonder if his behavior is designed to show her, a mere woman, the most contempt he could possibly imagine. The fact that she is black is also interesting, isn't it? She claimed that she was eliminated from judging because she is black, so he moons her?
