on Friday after he told Imus that Rove was going to get indicted that day. Rove must have gotten to him and shut him down before he went on the air Friday night.

way. It's his war entirely, conceived and implemented by his team.

|
Okay, people are sour on the war. This is the war Bush and his administration wanted. They wanted it so badly they went into it without any planning or preparation. After the first easy weeks of the world's only superpower beating up on a defenseless and unarmed nation, the real work of war got going as the occupation forces settled in.
Now Rove is floating the idea that if it wasn't for the administration's own mistakes, and if the natural consequences of their ill-considered actions didn't follow as they should, why, everything would be just peachy keen! "I was having so much fun sawing off that branch behind me. Who could have possibly foreseen that I'd fall out of the tree?" Not this bunch, or its media sycophants and apologists, that's for sure.
And to think of all the time we've wasted, telling them exactly what was going to happen. It's like dealing with a particularly stubborn and dim four-year-old.

| 27. I guess the way shrub "floated" it was roughly as follows: |
|
My polls are a little low because people have "war fatigue". This is a natural phenomenon, that would happen to any president presiding during/over a lengthy war.
Neglects the little fact that there would BE NO WAR in Iraq if he hadn't started it, and that even people's perception of THIS misbegotten war of empire would be substantially different if he exercised true leadership, truly communicated a valid reason for the bloodshed and sacrifice (unfortunately there isn't one), and showed a willingness to ask for and demand sacrifice from ALL including his own beloved friends and family, that is, wealthy white Republicans.
Of course, no such leadership is forthcoming.
