Police: Fla. Mother Made Up Story About Abduction
SNIP
During interviews with detectives, Meddler insisted that her daughter was kidnapped by Singletary, but finally said that the abduction may have been a dream, the report said. She said Za'kira might be with Meddler's former foster mother, Edwina Amos.
Amos said she was shocked when police knocked on her door looking for Za'kira since the baby had been with her since 9 p.m. The child was checked by rescue personnel and found to be in good condition.
Amos said that not only was Za'kira not abducted, Meddler also told police that the girl has asthma and needed medicine every four hours -- which is also untrue.
"Right now she's put away because of the lies," Amos told WJXT's Emily Pantelides. "She had everybody running around."
