the problem is that given the strength of the two party system, getting him elected was always going to be a problem and by running as a third party he actually hurt the Dems chances, although I think if the Dems would get back to their basic tenets and divorce special interests, their base might actually vote in very large numbers.

Please note that I still believe Florida was stolen in 2000 and the Dems won (until the courts stepped in), but they would have won comfortably without Ralph. Dems must blame themselves for losing supporters to Nader because of ties to special interests.

Nader has fought special interests all his life and I'm glad he never compromised and sold out.

Now I'll put on my anti-flame suit. :D

63. As a corrupt paranoid with a poor comprension of reality, Nader

would certainly qualify to be the equivalent of Bush.

His record on strike breaking and the violation of labor laws certainly puts him on the level of Bush, and let's face it, his obsession with fluoridated water would probably lead to something real important to the American future: The remake (or sequel) of Dr. Strangelove.

As for special interests: Nader is a special interest - his main interest being his ego.

He's been great on the issues that matter: NBA officiating and Terrell Owens football dispute with the Philadelphia Eagles, and great for informing us that Bush is as moderate as Gore. The rest of us, of course, were trying to distract from these important issues by focusing on silly trivial things like the fucking war that Gorebush started.

He certainly would have been a President who would have been qualified to represent national stupidity and let's face the celebration of stupidity is what America is all about these days.

I'm so sorry that I didn't vote for Nader and celebrate stupidity.
