Generally I'd refer to Senator Clinton as that or Hillary Clinton. I can't recall the last time I made reference to Mr Simpson at all, or why I'd have need to unless discussing football, not being a devotee of scandal voyeurism myself. That said, those are public figures by choice and as such not really entitled to quite the same delicate handling that one would expect of private persons who became public figures only as the result of great tragedy in thier lives.
