Also, don't forget the original evidence that made the Ramsays seem guilty all those years ago, still unexplained: all the items used during the attack, from all weapons to the ransom note, came from inside the house, and the ransom note was practiced, on different pieces of paper, in the house--a stranger who broke in to kidnap, rape and murder the child sat around, after searching for materials, and composed note after note until they were just right?; there were both old and new vaginal injuries on the child, it was not just one abuse; there were fibers from Patsy Ramsay's sweater underneath the duct tape on the child's mouth; the weird "ransom" note praised John Ramsay, then asked for a ransom of an odd amount that exactly matched the recent bonuses received by John Ramsay (and I think I heard years ago that somebody said the handwriting matched hers); they both refused to cooperate with police, would not answer questions or take an official polygraph, immediately moved away, immediately hired not only a team of lawyers but a public relations firm, bizarre; there were no footprints in the snow leading up to or away from the window supposedly broken into; the child was found in their own basement after the "kidnap" note, etc., etc.
I think this will end up being a fake, obsessed liar, for any number of reasons--there seems to be an ongoing case against this person in Thailand, trying to escape it; has read a lot about this case, etc. Remember that the Ramsays were hated by the public for a reason: their porno videos, porn kiddie beauty contests, adult dress-up and striptease acts, and all the rest that they did to her. They never cooperated with the investigation, and all the evidence pointed to them. The most frightening things about this case, besides the tragic horror of the crime and this poor child's life itself, has been the way the media, as a pack, will be duped, wrenched around one way, then another, this way and that, "Yes" then "No," "Up" then "Down," any old way they are told to--this Keith Olbermann yesterday actually asked, seriously, if "we" should "all" apologize to John Ramsay--at the slightest excuse. It is scary the way any rumor or claim becomes the "pack truth." I don't believe this case will ever be solved; no one is brave enough to take it on as it seems to be.
