Over 5 Million Hours Served!

Wow! I just re-did the calculation to see how many hours of radio White Rose has served, and we topped the 5 million hour mark!

Amazing how it adds up over time.

2. Sadly, there is no micropayment solution that works.

The smallest amount I can collect through PayPal or Amazon that makes sense is a dollar, and .30 of that gets eaten up in fees. (Due to the minimum transaction fee.)

What I really want is for all of the users of the site to send me one dollar a month. But what really happens when I have a pledge drive is that most of the total is made up by people sending quite large sums ($50 -> $1000) and only a few from people who sign up for $1 a month or similar small donation.

But that isn't the biggest issue I am facing; I want more people to freeload! I have ONE TERABYTE of bandwidth purchased every month, and am using only about 35% of it. I really want more people to come and download shows and listen to them.

The whole point of this exercise is to spread the Message, and that is what I need some help doing.

If you blog, or post comments to blogs, please plug White Rose?

community because most of them do some political stuff in their acts and as a whole, they skew 'way to the left.

14. Three of the servers are at 100 Mbps, one at 10Mbps.

I pay extra for the fast lines, but I think it is essential for a good user experience. This is also why I do not do Bittorrent; The user experience is extremely variable and the ease of use is such that most people would not figure out how to make it happen for them.
