You know, I never say I'm a Liberal, unless I hear some RWer running down Liberals. First of all, I just don't believe in locking myself into some label, I am certainly more liberal than most people, but not necessarily "A" Liberal, because that implies that I only make decisions in lockstep with a political ideology or philosophy. I prefer to look at all sides and come up with what I feel is the best solution to a problem or issue. But back to why I say it when I hear somebody running down Liberals. Almost always some RWer is talking tough and they do not expect anybody to call them or confront them on it. So I make a point to do so. I once said to a guy who was running down Liberals, "I'm a Liberal, you got a fucking problem with it?" Then I stared a hole through the guy.

You better believe he stuttered his way out of that one, and soon he was pretty friendly.

It is my experience that most people, whatever their political beliefs are, are basically good people, but the big-mouthed tough guys are little more than wannabe bullies who practically shit themselves if they think somebody might physically line them out. And, believe me, I'm not a big guy by any means, I'm fairly muscular and have a combat athlete background, but I am like 5'1 and 150 pounds. I'm hardly imposing, but understand that bullies are complete cowards and once you threaten to or actually pop them in the mouth, then it is lights out. Anybody who uses derogatory terms like "weep-o-crats" are definitely bullies and little more. I guarantee you is somebody said that in front of me, I would cure that chickenshit of that stuff right away. Talking tough is a whole different story if a wimp has to back it up.
