I think Chafee is in an odd position, to be sure. he knows the only reason the repubes supported him at all, is because they knew their favorite, the junkyard dog, would lose for sure, so he's their 2nd choice..

he has to feel obliged, since their money and support might have won the primary for him, and he will be expected to "pay back"...but he has to be a little pissed that he's the "spoiler" candidate..the ugly bridesmaid..

Maybe he'll pull a Jeffords :)

Unless we have a campaign across the nation to remove Republicans of any stripe from public office, the United States will cease to exist.

We must emphasize VOTE DEMOCRATIC and we must remove all DINOS like Lieberman so that voters know that when they do vote Democratic, they are getting what they want.

4. These Northern GOP seem to be in the old style and

are hard to get out of office. They are not zealots and seem to use reason and frankly people who are old time GOP people like them. They are also saying what Dem. are saying. No wars, stay out of other countries, watch what we spend and be sure the people get what they need. Now lets face it how do you get rid of people like that? Do we want to? Coming from an old GOP family and having voted for Ike my self I think they have some points. I would like the Congress to go Dem. for other reasons and I will say if it came to who to vote for I would vote for the Dem. and have when Snowe ran but I was not to up tight when she won.

By reminding people that a vote for Chafee is a vote for a Republican majority. Republican control ofthe government has been bad for America, and Chafee is part of the problem.

ABSOLUTELY. Chafee could have swithced to a "D" but he didn't want to, he wanted to facilitate a Republican majority. He needs to be replaced by Whitehouse, who is an undeniable Democrat.

8. He's leading in the polls, 46% to 41%...

as of this morning on my radio. Whitehouse was state AG, so he's a known quantity. Chafee is popular here, no doubt, but the state is solidly Democratic, and we are sick of repugs.
