According to this site http://icasualties.org/oif/ , we are only up to 2702. I keep a tally sign in my yard and update it every day, but it only reflects the number from the site I listed.

Most of the articles that are out there today talk about how we just passed the lives lost mark from 9/11/2001, which was 2693.

Just confused because the cartoon said Iraq without mentioning Afghanistan. I get it now but still a bit uncomfortable with it on it's face. But that's probably just me. Carry on. :)
