"Chertoff Jr." tried to break in our house!

At about 11:10 pm I was just minding my business searching the gas prices online while my dear fiancee was about to snooze away. All of a sudden, she comes up to me to tell me of hard banging noises as if someone was trying to break into our house. Being deaf myself, I couldn't hear it...so anyway, we went downstairs to the side and back of the house where she originally heard the noises. No sign of anything. Shortly afterwards, she heard a banging noise from the side near the front part of the house. I went to the front door.

Well, there was this strange man standing right on the front porch by the door. No clue who he was. When he turned to face me, he didn't look like just a guy casually dropping by. He had those deranged bloodshot eyes and looked half-stunned. My fiancee came by too. We asked what the hell he was doing here. He just stood there then started to come through the doorway then she pushed him off the front door. He then just walked away into the neighbourhood. After contacting them, the police quickly came by for questioning. Soon enough they nabbed the guy. So far as to what we know, he was just "high" and possibly looking for a place to crash or looking for a "friend's house" and not knowing where he was. He's now in the tank for the night.

This guy seriously looked like "Chertoff Jr"! Same hair but light brown instead of grey, same gaunt look, same wide dead skeletal eyes, and you name it!

Well, I think we can sleep a bit easier now. Thank you.

Seriously, you were very lucky. Please don't open the door like that - the consequences can be fatal.

3. I know

Originally we thought that the noise was from the side of the house, and we wanted to be sure that our neighbour was ok. Just happened so quickly, but was weird at the same time.

My fiancee and I agreed that next time something like this happens, we'll make sure that we don't just open the door right away. In a way we're fortunate that we live in a Canadian city...though the dangers may catch up in our country in the years ahead.

4. Heh, well here's an update

the cops called an ambulance over to take Chertoff Jr away. Apparently he was so drugged out of his mind that he needed medical attention.
