Police: Match.com Rapist Attacked 8 Women

PHILADELPHIA -- He sounded too good to be true, claiming to be an astronaut or a doctor -- even a spy.

And he was clean-cut, lived in a nice neighborhood and liked to frequent upscale eateries.

The trouble is, Philadelphia prosecutors contend he's a rapist who attacked at least eight women.

Several women took the stand on Tuesday against Jeffrey Marsalis.

The women said Marsalis posed as a doctor, CIA agent and a confidant to President George W. Bush.

They said Marsalis met most of them through the popular dating site Match.com between 2003 and last year.

During a preliminary hearing this week, the women told similar stories about feeling unusually intoxicated after having a drink with him.

I didn't even know about match.com until I found out my wife of 29yrs was trolling for discrete adult relationships. I could deal with that, but it frosts my cookies hearing the happy, shiny ads about finding the love of your life. Their opportunistic profiteers wth no heart or soul.

There are eight alleged victims, two of whom said they were raped twice.

Earlier this year, Marsalis was acquitted of three other rapes, the TV station reported.

12. match.com is a fraud! Do not trust them

I was curious about the site and did the free trial thing. Before my profile was even approved I was getting notes and winks from men. LOL. Now how is that possible? I guess after the IT staff approves the profile, their next assignment is to send a fake note?

But, despite their dishonest ways, online dating still tends to be a waste of time.
