with nothing on it but phone, day planner, intercom, and empty in and out baskets. Remember Clinton? His desk looked like a trash heap with overflowing baskets. It was a WORKING desk. This is a stage set desk.

That's the truly disturbing aspect of this photo. His desk is empty because he does nothing but slap corporate types on the back while picking their pockets.

there's this whole gallery of presidential portraits - all of them pretty serious and impressive, most were oil paintings in muted colors. You get to the end of the line, and there's W - grinning like Alfred E Neuman, in front of some flag backdrop that looks like an elementary school yearly photo. It was so weird.
